    disney village

    July 9, 2010

Last summer, it was DisneyLand in Cali and a short trip to Vegas. This year, it’s DisneyWorld in Orlando!

Our first stop was at the Disney Village. Downtown Disney area is an ever-changing shopping, dining and entertainment destination. You don’t have to shop to be entertained. Just look around and you’ll feel like you’re a 5-year old again!

Nothing to do on Memorial Day Weekend. Ended up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

There are so many things to see and things to do in Minnesota. The mall was our priority though. Go figure! ;-)

Few photos from our recent trip.

    Photo Finished

    June 29, 2010

Finally, our project is now finished. (Check out previous entry related to this topic:  http://www.chuvaloo.com/?p=5360)

We framed the black and white photographs of the kids. We used a studio wall easel. Less  holes in the wall.  It’s multi-level and very versatile.

    Karate Kids

    June 26, 2010

This summer, we enrolled them both in Karate. There’s a school called National Karate in the area. We thought it will keep them active and occupied in the summer.

There are many reasons for kids to become involved in Martial Arts. It teaches them confidence, discipline, respect, focus and self defense in time of danger.

This school also joins various competition. If there’s one in your area, I recommend enrolling your kids.

    Young Authors

    June 7, 2010

Their books. The stories they wrote themselves.

My daughter had her story written at school. If I’ll just tell you, you won’t believe it. Initially, I didn’t believe it. Until I read and heard about the teacher’s comments.

My son outlined his story and went from there.  His story was based on our recent vacation. Hers was all fiction.

Bottom line, they did pretty good for their age. Clearly, there’s no need to encourage them on self-expression. They can do it themselves.

2 of my favorite photos. Yep, they’re big now. Time sure does fly.

    Splat Attack!

    May 21, 2010

There’s this splatter water toy that sticks on the wall. It’s called SPLAT. It’s a noverly squishy toy that sticks, splats, and then returns to its original shape.

They have had an orange pig.

For whatever reason, my son decided to toss it high up in the ceiling. Of course, it will stick. See the photos below.

He attacked it with his NERF gun. Rest in peace sticky piggy!

    My Day!

    May 15, 2010

Mother’s Day is a special day in a year where I should be honored. Kidding. Of course, I should be honored and pampered on that day. Truthfully, I would prefer a day of peace and quiet. Translation – a day by myself, in my room with a good book. Well, it didn’t happen. I realized that I will be happier if I’ll celebrate it with my family. So we did!

    ================

In addition, I also received the following gifts. Beautiful flowers and a purse from Kate Spade. It is called “Small Annabel Renwick Street” in navy color. It’s nylon purse with a red and white strap. It has a casual look but full of functionality.

    Bowl Away!

    April 19, 2010

Jarrett’s birthday party at Brunswick with his classmates and few friends. (http://www.bowlbrunswick.com/).

They enjoyed bowling, pizza and games! Plus, Jarrett received a keepsake signature bowling pin signed by all of his guests.

It’s one celebration he will remember forever.
