Connect with the Host!
January 30, 2009
This is definitely a product of the author’s imagination. No, I take that back. It’s actually the author’s sexual fantasy. When she writes, she describes herself unintentionally. She describes her fictitious characters as if they’re real. The effect on you as a reader is that you unconsciously putting yourself inside her mind, thus making yourself the main character too! Very clever trick, I must say!
The moment you read 1 or 2 chapters, you connect with the main character. For some unexplainable reasons, you agree with the author; you go with the flow. This book is definitely for adult. This is not for young adult audience. This is for those who do not like “fiction”, but want to read one anyway. It has a very interesting twist. Forget the fiction in it! It has the right ingredient for a “love story”, which makes it more interesting. It has 619 pages. Bigger font size though. Not your average novel book. Better packaging too!
I just started reading it. So far, so good. I’m liking it.

Night at the saloon!
January 27, 2009
We don’t get to see each other a lot for a number of reasons. Last weekend was one of those rare days. Most of us were available. So, we hit the John Barleycorn (http://www.johnbarleycorn.com/)! What better way to spend a night out with friends than with good food, wine, jokes and old stories chauffeuring you around in a totally hip bar?
With a perfect drink…….read the ingredients!
The night was not over yet. It lead us to the most exciting place on earth…..the KARAOKE bar!! Where else?
Impromptu Chuvaloo
January 26, 2009
It was a very busy weekend. Luckily, Sunday afternoon freed up.
A quiet dinner would be nice. That’s exactly what happened. Around 4pm, everyone’s there at their house. Unplanned, but it worked out well for them too.
Take a peek at what we did…..

Feast we shared.
I guess, these are the men in our lives…..
At last, dinner…

Italian Bloodsucker
January 22, 2009
I kid you not!! Dakota Fanning will play the role of Italian Volturi vampire “Jane”. Volturi is similar to a royal family; supposedly the highest rank among vampires.
If you think about it, she will be a perfect Jane. Read the New Moon book (Saga 2) and compare the description of the Italian bloodsucker to Dakota. It’s a perfect fit!
But…….its getting annoying hearing familiar faces getting the important parts. Sorry, I had to say that! Don’t get me wrong though, Dakota is great as the telekinetic, dread-locked young girl in “Push.”
Google this and you’ll see so many sites confirming the rumor.
Here’s the top 100 titles of 2008. Compiled from the USA TODAY Best-Selling Books list:

Not a surprise at all, Stephenie Meyer’s books made it to the top 15. Her dominance has continued this year.

LV Spring-Summer Collection
January 21, 2009
I recently received a campaign ad for LV’s spring-summer collection. Damn those purses! It’s ridiculously expensive! *sigh*
See Madonna’s photoshoot with designer Marc Jacobs (yeah, I didn’t know Marc Jacobs works with LV too) at:

The President and the first lady at the 10 inaugural balls Tuesday night. Michelle Obama was wearing a one-shouldered, full-length white gown by Jason Wu. With her statuesque figure, white gown really looks good on her.
