Stephenie Meyer is a best-selling author of paranormal/fantasy romance novels.  Her story is featured in Style Magazine. The edited version is in Style.com. The original story will appear in Vogue magazine for their March, 2009 issue.

She is a typical suburban mother who wished to pay off her car and ended up becoming a Superauthor that sold over 48 million copies of her books.

I often make a trip to the bookstore during the weekend. No reason. Just wanted to see what they have out there. Maybe check the bargain section for previous bestsellers. Or, browse the magazines.

Last Sunday, after checking my mailbox for coupons, I forced my husband to go with me to the boookstore. The nearest one was about 9 minutes away from my house. (That is if I take the back road. You know, the road where you pass by the gentlemen’s club?…..LOL!)

After spending few minutes, I headed towards the counter to pay.

I handed out my $10. The salesperson gave me my change back and then the confusion started:

    Salesperson: Here’s your change

    Me: Thanks!

Salesperson: Is that all for you today?

Me: Yes, that would be all.

Salesperson: Do you want to save a tree today?

    Me: Huh! What?

Salesperson: Do you want to save a tree today?

Me: Oh, um…..say what again? Did you ask me if I want to save a tree today?

    Salesperson: Yes.

Me: Oh, okay. No, thank you. (Thinking it was one of those charity thing where you give them $1 and then they give you a sticker back).

Salesperson: You mean, you don’t want to save a tree today?

    Me: Huh!? (Getting more confused)

Salesperson: You mean you don’t want a bag for your book?

Me: Oh, I get it. You’re asking if I want my purchased book in a plastic bag. (God! I was screaming in my head!)

    Salesperson: Ah, yeah!!?

Me: Duh, as if I knew all along what you’re talking about! You could have just said if I want a bag for my book or not. Grrrr!!!!! (WTF!)

Me: No, I don’t want a bag. (You can keep your damn f’ing bag! I murmured to myself)

Needless to say, it was stupid but HILARIOUS!! My husband got a kick out of our 2-minute conversation.

We were already driving back home and we’re still laughing our butt off!!! Priceless!!! bwahahahahahahah!

“Say what?” & “Tonight?” were the 2 questions I screamed over the phone.  Then, I said, “Sure thing. What time?”.

By 6:15pm we were already heading towards their house. Got there before 7pm.

Happy birthday Jonathan!!.  That was the official “scream” of the night.

    Charlie’s angels….

Rice cake – Thanks to Dea!

    My rice cake….

    Joy’s …….

I was trying to come up with interesting and useful comments about him at the OSCARs, but I got distracted by his hotness, and, I couldn’t help myself but drool over him.  So I did. No interesting post. No useful comments.  LOL!

    She’s in the cover!

    February 22, 2009

Taylor Swift is the latest cover of Rolling Stone magazine.  She is the biggest country-pop star. It’s a big deal to be in the cover of Rolling Stone. She made it! Good for her! She’s talented and you can’t deny it.

I say, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Slumdog Millionaire” will take several awards in tonight’s OSCAR’s at ABC 5 PT/8 E /7 C.

Actress in a leading role category should go to (I hope) Kate Winslet for “The Reader”.

If you live in a cold city, a cover for your head is a necessity. Beanie is a very popular headgear for men.

This one is not the average beanie though. This one has a headphone pocket.  Who needs a headphone pocket anyway?  I guess, some men do. Weird!  LOL!

This is called “wiltern beanie” (http://www.quiksilver.com/)

It looks like Rob is back in the US! Not that you care, but I care!

His hair is getting longer. Looks clean. I suppose he’s getting ready for New Moon.

Plus, he will presenting at the OSCARS on Sunday. Hhmmm……I guess they want their young fan base to watch the show.
