  • Intimate conversation

    March 31, 2009

    This happened 2 nights ago. My intimate conversation with my daughter (age 6), and with my son (age 5).

    =====================

    Daughter: Mommy, that guy is so talented. Don’t you think so? He can act, sing and play piano.

    Me: Yes, I think so too.

    Son: Can he play guitar?

    Me: Yes, he can.

    Daughter & Son:  Wow!

    Daughter: Is daddy a talented person?

    Son: {anxiously waiting for an answer}

    Me: Yes, in his own ways. What do you think?

    Daughter: Well, he can…..umm…{thinking….}

    Daughter: Well, let’s see……he can sell stuff on eBay!!

    Son:  Yeah!! Also, he can change his own clothes!

    Me:  Bwahahahahahahahha!

    Delicious Stories

    March 30, 2009

    Here are some of the books that I read after “The Host”.

    The “Skylight Confessions” is an odd story about destiny combines with magic. It’s a good book. It’ll make you think.

    “Dedication” is a funny story about finding closure with a bittersweet ending. Not my personal favorite but I liked it.

    Nicholas Sparks’ “At First Sight” is a boring-nagging-story. Waste of money. Good thing I only paid $5. No wonder it’s on sale.

    I did not have much time to spare.  So, I just went to this one store to grab a bite to eat. It’s a supermarket that sells mostly organic food. It’s the only supermarket nearby where I work. It’s a litlle pricey over there. One good thing is that they sell hot food. The price is based on a the weight of the food though.

    Anyway, I took what I wanted and stood in line. As I was about to pay, the cashier asked me if I wanted to “save the earth“.  {Laugh}…sounds familiar! This time, I knew exactly what it meant. So, I said, “No I do not want to save the earth today for I need my freakin’ bag to carry my hot food!” . The cashier was shocked and not to mention, caught off guard from how I said it.  Gave my money and left. As I was walking away, I saw the cashier still looking at me wondering why, and, what the heck just happened.  {Laugh}……here’s the history so you’ll know why I acted that way:

    Stuck in my head

    March 25, 2009

    My kids always say this phrase:  A clean mouth is a happy mouth! (It’s from the “Orbit” gum commercial.)

    Now, it’s stuck in my head. Even at work, I say it. That would be embarrassing if I say it out loud.  So far, I’ve been successful in controlling myself.

    It was definitely a fun “birthday celebration” night! We absolutely enjoyed the food (okay, maybe too much). In few minutes, we’re stuffed!!

    It’s worth the wait at JoyYee!

    JoyYee (www.joyyee.com) is an Asian restaurant that combines different dishes and styles from across Asia into one expansive menu. They’re known for bubble teas. It’s absolutely to die for.

    Seriously, why?

    March 20, 2009

    It looks like the popstar is launching a new business venture. An alcohol venture, that is.  Reports say that he’s going to unveil the booze in the US this year. It’s a tequila called 901.

    Seriously, why alcohol? And why tequila for that matter?

    Does he need it to break up with Jessica?  LOL!

    Google Books

    March 19, 2009

     Do you know that you can read books on-line for free? Yes, it’s a freebie!!

    Google, the most popular search engine, allows you to search and preview millions of books from libraries and publishers worldwide using Google Book Search. Book Search works just like web search.

    They have new ones and some of the old classics too. Yes, they do have Jane Austen!

    That’s newly engaged Christina Ricci and actor Owen Benjamin. Notice the height difference? It looks like Owen is taking his toddler for a walk. LOL!
