Go fish!
July 31, 2009
We would eat at the Sushi Station….well, that was the original plan. We realized that it would be more relaxing if we just gather in someone’s house and eat the sushi there.
First stop, where else? Sushi Station. To pick-up the order, that is.
That’s not the location. Just some street name that caught my attention. You know why…
A variety of sushi.
The Hungry Folks.
Changed her wallpaper. It’s Rob!
Youtube karaoke!!
Go fish!
Facebook na naman! (facebook again!)
Hershey’s Chicago
July 30, 2009
I don’t even know that there’s one here along Magnificent Mile. It’s a great place to take your kids. They offer interactive activites for kids and kids-alike. It’s the world’s best loved confectionary brand after all. (http://www.hersheys.com/discover/chicago.asp)
The place is about 3,600 square feet. Inside, there’s a retail store, of course. Also, you can even become a factory worker for the day! How cool is that?
Visit the place! I know we will.
They’re everywhere!!

You think?
The Old Navy mannequins are everywhere! Of all places, the coffee shop! That’s funny!
Even the Pratt girl from “The Hills” is looking at her!

It’s Over
July 28, 2009
I was looking at the yahoo homepage last night, and, the bottom right section of the page caught my eye. It’s because that day’s most searched was Camilla Belle. My first guess - “maybe they have broken up”. Sure enough, it’s over! For Jonas and Belle, that is. LOL!!
LA Times reported that the young rock star was weeping during a Jonas Brothers concert in Detroit last night. I wonder how Joe feels to have his heart broken this time. There, I said it delicately instead of saying “you just got dumped”. LOL!

The Queen
July 27, 2009
We’ve been to London to visit the Queen!
Well, not exactly. We went to the city to visit Queen Alberts. It’s a karaoke bar where you can sing your butt off!
Incidentally, it was someone’s birthday too! We doubled the fun!
Her singing career. LOL!
2 cokes.
2 people in love..eww!!
2 singers. LOL!
2 guests…kidding. That’s the birthday celebrant on the right.
$1 per shrimp. That’s crazy expensive!
Stack them up!
Last call for alcohol!

Someone needed some major virus clean-up…..ended up in a dinner/chit-chat event! You know how it is, the process can easily take hours depending on the severity of the virus….
JB and her new Lenovo netbook (www.Lenovo.com). It’s pink!! Wait, I thought it’s black. Ah, that’s right, the dad’s black and the daughter’s pink.
Now, she and Bianca can surf together….;-)
Why so serious? Facebooking in Lenovo style? LOL!
Pretty JB just turned 7!!! Truly is, time flies….she’s no longer a baby!
And so, we bowled the afternoon away!!
======================================
Meet the gang.
The kids in action.
Feelin’ Japanese. Check out the hairstyle
Peace!
JB & Bianca.
I saw the invitations JB handed out to her classmates, and, I must say, she writes very beautifully. The letters and numbers were written very legibly. You wouldn’t think it was written by a 7-year old!!
Happy birthday JB!!
After party Thai Iced Tea. Yummy!!
Many Stripes
July 24, 2009
Apparently, sweater-style dress is in. Check out Anne Hathaway in red-and-white striped American Apparel dress ($41). Nice, huh!?
You can get exactly the same look for $6 dollar cheaper at Old Navy. One of my girl friends gave me an exclusive discount coupons (Thanks by the way!!).
Hhhmmmm…..maybe I should stop by and check it out!
I had a similar style, but that was a long time ago, and, it doesn’t have sleeves. Definitely not suitable for Fall Season.
True Blood
July 21, 2009
Curiousity.
I was just curious about the works of Charlaine Harris (http://www.charlaineharris.com/). She is the best-selling author of the original Sookie Stackhouse series.
Recently, HBO, an American television station created and produced True Blood based on her Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels.
Anyhow, I used to not like heavy, hard-core vampire stories. I never find this type of story amusing at all. Plus, I wasn’t really into weird, drama, characters-with-fangs kind of thing. Well, things have changed when I read the first few pages of Dead Until Dark (1st novel in the series) while I was at the bookstore buying Alyson Noel’s series.
You’re wrong! I did not buy the book. Instead, out of my growing curiousity, I rented the 1st DVD from the first season of True Blood. Now, I’m hooked!
The story is definitely not like Twilight (in which I’m a big fan as well). It is for mature audience who likes a different twist on how vampires should be characterized and portrayed. It’s a story where vampires are out in the public. They don’t need to depend on human blood anymore. Thanks to the synthetic blood, now, being mass-produced for vampires living as members of the human society.
The author did a good job of creating an unusual setting for the vampires. There’s enough action, sexual tension, and mystery that will keep you reading (or watching for that matter). It’s not at all predictable!!
Now, I’m a big fan of Sookie Stackhouse. And, I’m so buying the series!!
