  • Dolls eat free!!

    December 26, 2009

She recently turned 7. Her only wish was to celebrate her birthday with her family at the American Girl Place restaurant. See post below:

    http://www.chuvaloo.com/?p=4306

Her wish came to reality one weekend.

At the American Girl Place Cafe, you feel like you’re eating at a four-star restaurant. Pink is an inescapable color. It’s pink everywhere!!!  My poor son, has no choice… ;-(

Having lunch there is just one of the enjoyable aspects of the place. The cafe is unmistakably kid-friendly. The best part? Dolls eat free!!!

The napkin rings can be used as hair scrunchies. That’s a perk that your child can take home with her.

Of course, it’s a routine. My son must stop by at the Lego store.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow……..

This is their 2009 snowman! Probably the first and last snowman this winter.  Can’t blame them. It’s cold!!!

    Snowman

    December 23, 2009

    That’s Bianca’s snowman.  How cute!!

I had to take pictures….couldn’t help it.

    It matches her coat… ;-)

That’s my UGG pair 2 years ago. It was a Christmas present from my husband. This is a classic tall boot design. This can be worn way up or cuffed down.

This year, my daughter received a pair from her Uncle and Aunt.

    Now, we match…… ;-)

This is a newer line – tall, casual biker boots.  I think this is called Brookfield Tall. This pair has a rich waterproof leathers and genuine twin-faced sheepskin. Retail for around $220. That’s Pam’s pair. Very nice huh!?

My kids and I decided to get  their Dad his own pair. Our Christmas present. It’s a casual lace-up everyday shoe. Similar to hiking shoes, only shorter.

Visit http://www.uggaustralia.com/ to view styles for the entire family.

It’s nice to have a friend that craves a lot……LOL!   She’s pregnant, alright? Pregnancy craving is part of the deal. Hey, it’s to our advantage. Can’t complain.

    Exhibit A – Golden Corral (www.goldencorral.com/)

This American-buffet/grill style restaurant is very popular in the south. There’s only 2 in IL. We hit the one in the west suburb.

Great food. Good service. Easy on the budget. It’ll surely hit the spot.

All I want for Christmas is this……………..kidding! Not practical. But, heck! Who am I kidding?  I am a sucker for nice purses! Who woudn’t?

This is a “Rebecca Minkoff Matinee” handbag. Available at Bloomingdales.

This is a “Treesje Studded Asher” satchel. Available at Bluefly, Shopbob, etc.

    This list is evil!

    December 16, 2009

Unbelievable gourmet desserts came at the end of our Holiday Luncheon at work. Selections include a collection of cakes, pies, tarts, parfaits, tortes, trifles, deep chocolate, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, and more chocolate flavored desserts!

Good God! Decision, decision, decision….I ended up with these:

    I’m just sayin’….

    December 10, 2009

How am I going to feed my kids vegetables when I don’t even like eating them myself? I’m just sayin’…..

Convincing my kids that vegetables (and fish) are good for them is always a struggle. It’s tough. I have to be creative all the time.

Here’s what I’ve come up with last night. Fish stick and green peas with carrots.

    It’s cold….brrrrr!!

    December 9, 2009

    So, it’s winter. No escape.

December 7 marked the first day of snow in Chicago.  On December 8, it was snowing for real!

Well, it was unseasonably warm for awhile. Then, it hit us. Bitterly cold. And, the temperature is dropping as I am writing this post. This is just a taste of what’s coming though. So, enjoy while you can. On Thursday, you will definitely dislike the cold weather.

This is what it looks like driving from work.

This is what it looks like at home.

Then, playing with the iPhones….by the vent… where hot air is released. ;-)

    Turkey’ed out!!

    December 8, 2009

That’s the biggest turkey I’ve ever seen in my life **** how melodramatic, LOL!

Kidding aside, the turley is huge! Obviously, we were not able to finish it the last time. Luckily, there’s Lani who can pretty much cook anything at any given condition. Solution? Turkey pasta ala Rachel Ray! It’s siesta time again!!

    What’s up with him?
